libalsaplayer-dev software package provides PCM player designed for ALSA (interface library, development files), you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libalsaplayer-dev
libalsaplayer-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libalsaplayer-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libalsaplayer-dev *
You will get with libalsaplayer-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
